2026 HUMANISTIC PHOTOGRAPHY AWARD
Call for Entries: 2026 International Humanist Photojournalism Award
This award was established with the aim of recognising the work of professionals whose work reflects a deep commitment to human rights, social justice, remembrance and human dignity.
The award forms part of the festival’s identity and reinforces its humanist ethos: to highlight visual projects capable of portraying urgent, overlooked or silenced realities from an ethical, documentary and narrative perspective.
What the award recognises
The Humanist Photography Award celebrates a way of seeing that is not content merely to show reality: it accompanies it, contextualises it and transforms it into a shared memory.
The Award recognises individual or collective photojournalistic works that address social, humanitarian, environmental or human rights issues. Particular consideration will be given to the depth of the approach, the photographic quality, the narrative coherence and the author’s commitment to the reality depicted.
